Blown away

My 15-second review of the latest Batman movie:

"The Dark Knight" is the best summer action movie I've ever seen, and should at least be nominated for Best Picture in next year's Academy Awards (right now, it just barely beats WALL-E on my scorecard). Heath Ledger is a shoo-in for Best Supporting Actor. Aaron Eckhart might deserve a nomination in the same category.

Also, it's nice to know that they'll never have to re-make the Joker-Batman movie again. Christopher Nolan's version is the definitive one.

Go see it, if you haven't already.

I really enjoyed the film, and Heath Ledger was incredible. But I think the movie dragged on a bit, starting w/the creation of Two Face. To really appreciate Ledger's ability, you have to watch Brokeback Mtn. Dean and Ox's stuntwork is mind-blowing.

Oops..gotta run! Time to take it to Mom and Sis - Christian Bale style, baby!

Yep> It was very good but I didn't understand some of it.
1) The Joker and his cronies rigged half of Gotham to blow up. Judge's cars, Ferry Boats, Buildings, Hospitals. How do you set that many bombs without 1 of the 30 million residents of Gotham noticing? The hospital itself had over a dozen bombs. Who doesn't notice this kind of activity?
2) It was way too dizzy for me. Overkill. Wasn't the trip to Hong> Kong unnecessary?
3) Dent changed to Two Face with all the mental trappings in a matter of minutes. That seemed rushed.
4) Maggie Ghynenhall???? A DA and a billionaire fighting over her????She looks like someone's mother? C'mon.
5) After Batman and Gordon removed the Joker's handcuffs and beathim up, why did the Police Dept not cuff him back and only send 1 man to> watch over him? The most dangerous man in the world and they don't cuff him?????
6) Speaking of Gotham's police force...................is this not the most inept unit ever seen? Did they do anything that wasn't reactive? Hell............could they even keep anybody locked up after arresting them? The TV show's police unit was more competent.
7) After Batman saved Rachel Dawes from the freefall the Joker sent her on.............what happened next? The Joker and a hundred terrified guests were still at the party. This scene just seemed to blend into the next scene with no closure. Did they just lay on the car as the Joker 'left' the building?
8) The loudness of the Movie and Music often times made the dialogue hard to hear. I often found myself asking Liz...."What did he just say"??? But then again I am getting old.....I admit. But damn..........it was just loud.
9) After Dent drove the henchman to a desolate part of town to force answers from him, how did the Batman know where he was at? Didn't quite get that part.
10) When the Joker and friends were taking pot shots at Dent's vehicle for what seemed like 5 minutes, did either of the 2 cops in the front think about returning fire?
Still compared to most of the fodder being shown this was very good. But I don't see how it compares to the Bourne movies or even Batman Begins. Help me understand........
